A Magical Retreat of Self-Care and Remembrance

Visit ancient wonders - Malinalco and Xochicalco archeological sites, learn the history of Malinalco, the last warrior site for the Aztecs and why its name comes from the Goddess Malinalxoch; participate in the making of the altar for the ancestors (bring your own offering) and visit the amazing public altars of the town as you also enjoy the beautiful street procession of the people; indulge in the authentic food flavors of home-made cooking and eat at local restaurants where you can taste Mexican delicacies such as moles, tamales, trout, and more!
We will also have daily breath and gentle movement practices to release stress and tightness in our bodies and daily meditation circles and conversation. Please register in advance as this retreat will sell out! Only 9 people Max.

Thu. Oct. 29 Picking you up at Mexico City's airport (noonish. Time to be confirmed).
Welcoming ritual, food and rest - Fri. Oct. 30 Early movement (gentle Yoga) and breath practice, description of Program, visiting the market to start gathering items for our Altar - Breakfast, lunch and dinner offered
- Sat. Oct 31 Early movement and breath practice, building of our Ofrenda (altar) - A talk about the traditions of the town, the history of Malinalco, the legend of Malinalxochitl and Huitzilopochtli - Cooking Workshop: The making of tortillas, Visit the Town's 16th-century Augustinian Convent, a fusion of Spanish architecture and indigenous art. Closing circle. Breakfast, lunch and dinner offered.
- Sun. Nov. 1 Guided visit to Malinalco's archeological site and the beautiful street Market! Visit local galleries and see the beautiful artesanias made in town (a jewelry-making workshop available upon request). In the evening: Town's Altars sightseeing. Breakfast, lunch and dinner offered.
- Mon. Nov. 2 Visit beautiful Xochicalco archeological site and learn the history and myth of Mesoamerican cultures - Breakfast offered. Lunch outside. Light dinner at home. Closing circle.
- Tue. Nov 3 A Day of Rest: Swim in our home swimming pool, sunbathe on the terrace, rest by the fireplace in the evening, catch up with your reading or writing, or do as you please in the town. Guided walks and visits to Mezcalerias are available upon request.
- Wed. Nov. 4 - 9am Back to the airport - Coffee/tea and light breakfast offered.
Invesment
$1600 per person.
It includes all of the above, plus towels, soap, coffee and tea all day.
Shared room and bath.
Ride from Airport to Malinalco and back to Airport.
DOES NOT include:Â
Airplane ticket, entrance fee to archeological sites, restaurant meals and alcohol, extra activities besides the ones offered in the Program, shampoo and personal items.
