Caro Acuña -Olvera is a Queer Afro Indigenous Sonic Shaman,Polyrhythmist and Death Doula and Spiritual Guide. Her spiritual teacher and elder is her lesbian Tia (aunt) who is a clairvoyant / musician and has guided Caro since before the day she was born. When Caro was a teenager one of the more profound teachings from her Tia was “ Everything you need to know about life is found in nature and the cosmos.” Caro has walked with this core teaching ever since.

She comes from a long line of singers, dancers and musicians on both sides of her family. Sonic transmission began in her biological DNA and came in her cosmic DNA. The mysticism and apothecary of sound,music and silence is medicine she uses to communicate with her ancestors, portals of the unseen worlds and she is highly skilled at supporting people’s process to clear and detox emotional traumas and supports the process towards freedom and liberation.Caro is deeply rooted in the Indigeneity of the oral tradition and the transmission of information through all the senses of her human experience. She is a 31 year breast cancer survivor who used 10% western medicine and 90% Indigenous medicine ( Medicina de Aztecas,Mayan and Shintoism to name a few ) music and sound vibrates underneath all the healing modes she uses to create her song in the key of her life. In addition she has an extensive bio as professional singer and percussionist ( nationally and internationally), but does not separate her sonic spiritual life in any way from her profession. She is a messenger of music in all its forms.
